Trinity Knot – How to tie a tie

- Drape the necktie around your collar
- Make an X-Shape
- Make a loop on the right side of the knot
- Make a horizontal band behind the knot
- Flip the thin end upward
- Tuck the thin end into the loop
- Make a horizontal band in front of the knot
- Coming through the collar loop, pass the thin through the horizontal band
- Make a horizontal band behind the knot
- Feed the thin end to the vertical loop
- Pull the thin end tightly
- Hide the remainder of the thin end

Drape the necktie around your collar
Drape the necktie around your collar in such a way that the seam should be facing inward and the thick end should be right side at the exact position where you want it to be at last.

Make an X-Shape
Cross the thin end in front of the thick end, making an X-shape. And then tuck it into the loop around your collar.

Make a loop on the right side of the knot
Bring the thin end down through the collar loop and on the right side.

Pass the thick end from right to left making a horizontal band behind the knot.

Tuck the thin end into the loop
Tuck the thin end into the loop around your collar and bring it out through the right side of the knot.

Make a horizontal band in front of the knot
Bring the thin end from right to left horizontally across the front of the knot.

Coming through the collar loop, pass the thin through the horizontal band
Tuck the thin end into the collar loop from behind the knot. Bring it down in front of the knot and pass it through the horizontal band. Slip your finger under the thin end in front of the knot. This will make a small vertical loop.

Hide the thin end either under the loop around your collar or behind the thick end.
